How your gifts are used
St George's is a busy church working on many projects within Holborn and around the world. In order to continue the work we do, we rely on the generous donations of friends and members and we are very grateful to all those who give.
To get a feel for the kind of things we are passionate about, see our Vision page.
How to give
This is the form of giving we'd love to encourage people to consider: it saves you time and effort, reduces our staff time in handling payments and allows us to budget more effectively. If you'd like to give by standing order, please let us know and pass the following details to your bank.
Church Bank: The Co-Operative Bank plc
Name of Account: St George the Martyr PCC Expenses Account

One off cash, cheque or bank transfer
One off donations, cheques (made payable to St George's Holborn) or cash gifts can be sent into the office by post, or given as part of the Sunday collection (any cash gifts over £20 should be put in a gift aid envelope). Or if you have access to internet banking, online payments can be made to the church account (details above).
To donate, text the code STGH00 followed by the amount you want to donate (£2, £5 or £10) to 70070. For example, STGH00 £5. You will be charged you normal SMS rate plus the amount you donate - we receive 100% of your donation.
Some employers will match your giving to charities. Give As You Earn is often administered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). St George's CAF reference number is: 31000430345.

If you are a UK taxpayer, using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, St George's can claim an extra 25p from the Government - at no extra cost to you. This makes your gift go much further.
